My Favourite Car

Bag touched lightly on this topic some time ago with the pictures of his beloved thou. That car you had that was your favourite, others came after that were 'nicer' and better mechanically but lacked the 'x' factor that your fave shitbox had.My fave had to be the XB Falcon I bought from Bag many years ago, around the time he bought the 1200 coupe.Sitting in that thing driving it around was like being in your 'comfy chair'(another Bag reference) with wheels and 250 cubes of power under your foot!I've had three cars since then but none quite like the XB,the tell tale rust near the rear window, the gaping hole in the passenger side door that I made with an angle grinder and never filled in.All those moments...will be lost...in time...like tears in the rain.Your fave car?

Well, I truely loved the Datty for it's pure girl-pulling power (must have been the compressed cheeseburger wrappers in the passenger seat), but to be honest, the Vanessa was more comfortable, way more reliable - I never had to push-start it in reverse out of a parallel park using a squeegie to hold the clutch pedal down. And I have dear memories of getting stoned in it at a party with about ten people in the back - not being able to get rid of the stench for a month. Good days.

I could not fault the 'rolla. It was my first and most reliable car. Bag learned in it as did his sister who bought it at least third-hand herself. I learned in it as did Gates after me and the only thing that went wrong was a worn clutch plate and brake pads, oh and battery terminals that needed to be cleaned. And after the KLX it flew!
The 240K was an ok car but was present for the most memorable moments including gobby from a Frankston Bitch and hauling an entire mobile disco setup around Melbournes outer suburbs.
The Cordia is still closest to my heart though.
As for the Renault... you will not speak of such things around me.

For me I still can't beat the Thou. The fun per dollar ratio was through the roof with a $50 purchase price. I really enjoyed the XB, I'm also lovin' the Soarer.
