It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time

Not really much to say about this but it is simply the rudest picture of a guitar quite possibly ever.

At least it isn't a cherry red Les Paul like the Shayce used to play. Did you ever find out what happened to him?
Kurt wants to buy a Fender Torch copy, and Fender Squire and a flying V for that extra long sustain.

I was always impressed when Kurt was using John Hoel's strat that had no tremolo so he stuck a screwdriver in the tremolo hole and abused the shit out of it.

Who did win out of the legendary guitar fight between you and the Shayce? I never heard the result, only the rumor being spread around the underground Camberwell high network that it was going to happen.

Oh and I heard you have found the Goldmine, meaning the party video. I expect rapid conversion to DVD. The Ritchie dance fight has to go down as one of the classic pieces of footage of the 20th century.

Ok, here I must correct you Shirkenhymer (a rare treat indeed): The strat I abused was not John's but another dude's from school (I can't remember his name, but he was a student of mine for a time). Jon's was a red strat and this one was a maple sunburst. It is very true however, that I abused the poo out of it - every dive bomb was just an excuse to aggressively damage it some more. I taught that trememlo the meaning of "out of tune"

And the party video - a chance to travel back in time to the eighties and re-live a bountiful youth. The Dance Fight - pure entertainment genius.

In an astonishing moment of clarity I have remembered the dude's name! It wasn't Rick, it was Ajay. The only other was Nigel who used to play a pre-Steve Vai Ibanez that looked like it was made out of treated pine logs. I remember buying that start from Ajay for $100. Man was I ever ripped off. Fuck I used to beat the shit out of that strat. That was during the time preceeding my purchase of the Vandeburg because I remember that it was my first trememlo experience. I used to assalt that guitar's innards with that screwdriver - good days.

I remember AJ,we used to call him 2 minute noodle head because his locks, don't remember you teaching him all that time ago,he stayed in a band with Nigel for many years after they left school and even released a couple of indie cds.As for Dave's request for information on the Shace,Kurt has some update info from the Jason Biggs visit a couple of years ago.

By the way my brother bought a torch fender years ago,it is in many pieces in a guitar case in my cupboard.I wanted to pull it apart and then put it back together again...i failed the last part!

Oh, that's like Dodd and my KLX motorbike. He thought it would be fun to pull it apart but never put it back together. When I criticised him for it he got angry that I didn't appreciate the effort he put into working on my bike, which was never to be in one piece again.
Did Kurt mention the T-shirt shop we went to in Montreal that had Iron maiden Backpatches and many of the patches from our battle jackets such as W.A.S.P, Ride the Lightning, Fuck like the Beast, Bark at the moon, Quiet Riot, Don Docken, Saxxon, Judas Priest, Tiffany and Bo~n Jovi.

He hasn't told me about this yet,but we haven't had the best chance to catch up yet.I never owned a battle jacket,I didn't like the way they gathered at the waist, this was around the time that the Shace wanted to start a metal band and call it 'blitzkrieg'
